Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta, Ga. continues to roll out more for guests to experience during the 2024 Season with the opening of Splash Island Waterpark, the kick off of the Wild Adventures LIVE! concert series, and special events and perks for Season Passholders.

"We began this Season just a few weeks ago with the all-new Dinosaur Explore, which provides a fun and enriching experience with over 50 moving and roaring dinosaurs and has brought in thousands of visitors from throughout the South,” said Adam Floyd, director of sales and marketing. “Now, we can’t wait for guests to also enjoy the thrilling slides and cool waters of Splash Island Waterpark and amazing performances from some of the biggest names in music.”

Splash Island Waterpark opens at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 6 and features towering waterslides, the Catch-A-Wave Bay wave pool, Ohana Bay Toddler Waterpark and more.

"We’ve also improved the Splash Island experience this year by adding new cabanas for guest to relax under some shade and have private seating with their friends and family,” said Floyd. “We’ve also added new self-service lockers that make storing belongings quick and easy.”

The new Island Cabanas are situated along Paradise River and accommodate up to six people and include lockable storage and access to the Cabana Village restrooms and changing facilities. The new cabanas join the park’s other offerings: Wahee Cabanas near Polynesian Adventure and Cabana Village, which features wireless internet, satellite television, a mini-fridge and other amenities.

"Outside of having a Season Pass, booking a cabana is the best way to experience Splash Island Waterpark,” said Floyd. “Cabanas serve as a home base for your family and friends and provide an area to relax during an adventurous day.”

On the same day Splash Island Waterpark opens for the 2024 Season, the first performer of the Wild Adventures LIVE! concert series will take the stage. Country star Phil Vassar, known for 10 No. 1 singles and 27 Top 40 hits, including “Carlene,” “Just Another Day in Paradise,” “Six-Pack Summer” and more, will perform at the park’s Passholder Appreciation Concert.

"Everyone is invited to enjoy an amazing performance from Phil Vassar on April 6, but if you are a Season Passholder, you get two free Reserved Seats to the show,” said Floyd. “Our Passholders get free General Concert Admission to all of our concerts, and getting free Reserved Seats for our Passholder Appreciation concerts is another great perk of being a Wild Adventures Passholder and one of the many ways we like to show our gratitude to guests who join us for the fun all Season."

Reserved Seats for the Phil Vassar concert will be given to 2024 Season Passholders on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 9 a.m. at the Special Events building in the Wild Adventures ticketing courtyard. Tickets will be available while supplies last. Non-passholders can bring their own chair or blanket and enjoy the show from the General Concert Admission area for just $10 plus park admission.

Before the Phil Vassar concert, Diamond Passholders can participate in the Diamond Passholder Party from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the new Dinosaur Explore. The event is only available to Diamond Passholders and includes complimentary food, exclusive animal encounters and more.

"April 6 will be an exciting day at Wild Adventures,” said Floyd. “Splash Island opens, Diamond Passholders can enjoy a private party, and all passholders get to enjoy reserved seats for an amazing performance from Phil Vassar. We may not be kicking off summer just yet, but we are certainly kicking off a Season of fun.”
